The Hague, Monday, November 25 — At 11:30 AM, the Arab-West Foundation and the Dutch Network of the Anna Lindh Foundation held a press conference at Nieuwspoort in The Hague to introduce a dual peace networking event. The day-long initiative brought together Palestinians, Israelis, and Dutch citizens to foster dialogue and shared aspirations.
Themed “MESSAGES OF HOPE AND PEACE: Connecting for a Just Future for Palestine-Israel,” the event explored pathways to heal divisions and lay the groundwork for a more just and peaceful future.
During the press conference, organisers highlighted the event’s key goals and featured perspectives from Dr. Yossi Beilin, a prominent Israeli statesman and peace advocate, and Dr. Hiba Husseini, a leading Palestinian legal expert and advisor. Both speakers emphasised the need for collaboration, justice, and dialogue in addressing deep-seated challenges in the region.
The main conference, held later that day, included contributions from civil society organisations promoting understanding and reconciliation. It also incorporated discussions on grassroots initiatives complementing diplomatic efforts. Livestreamed to over 4,000 civil society participants across 42 Euro-Mediterranean countries, the event fostered broad engagement and collected diverse feedback.
By spotlighting this effort at Nieuwspoort, the Arab-West Foundation and Anna Lindh Foundation underscored their dedication to bridging divides through meaningful dialogue and cooperation, advancing the vision of a shared future built on peace and mutual respect.
