Member in Action: PAX Calls for a Full Arms Embargo on Israel

Our network partner PAX, a leading peace organization and human rights advocate, has launched a bold campaign:
“Demand a Full Arms Embargo on Israel”
Through this campaign, PAX urges the Dutch government to immediately end all forms of military cooperation with Israel. On May 18, 2025, over 100,000 people formed a symbolic red line through The Hague, sending a powerful message: enough is enough.
PAX emphasises:
“Israel commits war crimes, yet the Netherlands continues to trade.”
Despite the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza—where tens of thousands have been killed and millions displaced—the Netherlands continues to supply, purchase, and cooperate militarily. PAX is calling for:
- Stopping arms sales and purchases
- Ending military cooperation
- Halting the proposed military treaty with Israel

Our own network petition, “One Humanity, One Call,” advocates for an end to violence in the Middle East through dialogue, diplomacy, and respect for international law.
The petition has been publicly endorsed by HRH Princess Rym Ali, President of the Anna Lindh Foundation, during the ALForum 2025, highlighting the urgency and legitimacy of our shared call for humanity, peace, and justice.
We urge the Anna Lindh Foundation Board to:
- Condemn violence against civilians
- Call on Israel to allow full humanitarian access
- Freeze Israel’s membership
