This call for participants forms part of the CSO WINS project: Capacity Building in the Southern Mediterranean to open policy dialogue and monitoring for women in society, funded by the Neighbourhood Civil Society Facility of the European Neighbourhood and Partnership Instrument of the European Union. The purpose of this call is to select 24 representatives of civil society organizations working in favor of gender equality (hereafter, organizations) based in the southern Mediterranean to participate in a workshop scheduled in Morocco in April 2016 to improve their skills to carry out advocacy actions.
The candidates selected in the framework of this call will have the opportunity to:
– Participate in a training workshop and access resources useful to engage in policy dialogue;
– Contribute to developing the strategic advocacy action plan of the organization they represent;
– Take part in a dynamic networking with organizations with similar objectives.
The CSO WINS project aims to enable organizations to actively participate in the monitoring of policies concerning gender equality through the promotion of networking in this area. It is implemented by the European Institute of the Mediterranean, in partnership with the Association of Victims of Terrorism Djazairouna, the Center of Arab Women for Training and Research, the Federation of the Democratic League of Women’s Rights, the Forum Femmes Méditerranée, the Palestinian Businesswomen’s Association Asala and the Euro-Mediterranean Academic and Scientific Network on Women and Gender, in synergy with the action of Euro-Mediterranean Women’s Foundation.
